...by running an effective training programme that will develop, equip and challenge people’s gifts, heart and ministry.
One of the Pulse strands is to run an effective training programme that will develop, Equip and challenge people’s gifts, heart and ministry, particularly in the area of children’s ministry, youth ministry and Christian leadership.
Our vision is to develop others, and take them on the journey. It excites us to watch people grow into their God-given calling through opportunities we can give them, and to also see the ripple effect continue. Interns can join us from age 16 upwards, although 16- 18yr olds will need parental and local Church consent.
How Can Pulse Equip Interns?
Mission - As an intern you will mostly serve with us in a holiday club for a week, however according to gifting there may also be an opportunity for you to join us in youth work.
Challenge - You will be given a great chance to stretch and develop through a week-long mission opportunity. You will assist in the day-to-day running, leading children’s/youth work, and be led through “E:quip” which is a daily project book, covering Biblical principles, exercises and challenges to grow your call and relationship with God.
Leadership Development Time - We love to spend one-to-one time with developing leaders, and see this time as really beneficial and fruitful. Women will receive one to one mentoring sessions with Amy and men will receive the same with Pete. This time will be used to encourage, Equip, invest and support you in your relationship with God.
Is It For You? - If you want a God-centered opportunity to grow, be challenged, stretched and developed then yes, it’s for you.

"Interning with Pulse never ceases to amaze me. I always start the week with my expectations about what God's going to do, only to see the reality of God's plan, which goes way beyond what I could conceive. God is good, and has great plans for all of us - youngest to oldest; and to experience the working out of that, in my own life and to be part of God's working in the kids' lives is just THE greatest privilege. And on top of that - it's great fun! Through working with Pete and Amy, I've been encouraged, trained and built up to share the gospel with kids with confidence and an expectancy that God can, and does, work in their lives. It's been wonderful being able to serve God in this way, and I have been blessed greatly through it. Would I recommend it? - Most definitely!"

The week I spent with pulse ministries was an extremely challenging and eye opening time for me.
Having a heart for ministering to youth I assumed the week would be a "breeze" and I could just pass through it and all would stay the same. The week opened my eyes to a side of God's work I had hid myself from for a very long time. A spiritual side of God which allowed me to understand the love that He had for me even though id allowed other earthly things to get in my way. However this wasn't all I received from God. I saw how He works in others lives and how He uses people to touch others with his love and grace. It was almost as if I was there to observe God at work, to learn how He went about things. I learnt so much through watching children and people allow God to work through and with them. The children I worked with where such a blessing and the laughter and smiles I got from them could keep me praising God for a lifetime.
The time I spent with Amy and Pete was filled with, pure joy, happiness, tears, laughter and the love of Jesus.
